CLIFFSIDE CAVE PICNIC
Dingli Cliffs, Malta

On Christmas Eve, Jane and I packed a picnic, scootered around Malta and found some cliffside caves to climb into for an unusual dining experience. Note Jane’s awesome Aussie accent.

While visiting my friend Liana in Dublin, we girls go on a vintage carousel ride at the Christmas markt.

NEW YEAR’S EVE FIREWORKS IN LONDONTOWN
At the Thames, London

Mark, Nina, Betul and I ring in 2010 with fireworks lighting up the famous London Eye. One of the best New Year’s Eves I’ve had in years! Note the hugs in the end. Sweet.

LONE SWINGING AT THE FUNFARE

A bizarre ride on a funfare carousel swing that was completely deserted – fun and a little surreal. (Note the creepy classical music at the end).

GOZO ISLAND ADVENTURE
Gozo, Malta

Exploring the salt pans, coastline and chiselled limestone landscapes by scooter. An amazing, unique and strange place. I’ve driven ATVs since I was about 10 years old, so scooters and motor bikes are no problem. I use them all the time on my vacations. Problem was on the limestone it was slippery in places – like driving on the face of a statue. Good fun! And I kept taking off on Jane (but I’d always come back a few seconds later

My father has developed an odd fascination with kitschy mechanical dancing novelty toys and had begun to give them to me (and his partner) for special occasions. He gets such a kick out of them. Oh Dad. You’re cute, but this thing’s a bit disturbing with all of its teddy gyrations.
