Animal Kingdom Karma

As you may already know, animal welfare advocacy has been a passion of mine for most of my life. From actively rescuing and re-homing abandoned and neglected animals to helping spread the word for animal causes both here in newfoundland and around the world, I try to do my part. All life is valuable, even that of the smallest creature.

Below you’ll find listings for animals needing adoption, fundraising efforts for surgeries, and other sad stories that you can turn into successes. Thank you for reading — and for caring. As Ghandi said, “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”  Let’s do something about that!

SUCCESS: MITZI HAS BEEN ADOPTED!

Spotlight on CHANCE
Tiny Tot Abandoned

Little Chance was found as a newborn kitten, far too young to be away from his mother. He was underneath someone’s garbage box in Placentia, starving and crying. His eyes were pure blue, showing his too-young age to be on his own. However he got there, we don’t know, but a kind person called a friend of mine and the kitten was colelcted and nursed back to health.

Now named “Chance”, this marmalade and white male kitten is seeking a Furrever Home with a responsible, loving person, couple or family. One where he’ll be properly fed, neutered at 6 months of age, given the vet care he may needs throughout his lifetime, and kept safely inside. These are basic needs of a pet. Chance loves to romp, get his belly rubbed, stretch out his little pink toes and snooze in the funniest positions. He’s growing like a weed now, and is ready for his new home.  Serious inquiries only. Interview and home visit part of the adoption process. Please e-mail kittycatkarma@yahoo.ca for details and be sure to write Chance in the subject line.

Spotlight on MR. JINGLES
The Affectionate Tuxedo Who Nibbles Earlobes!

Mr. Jingles showed up on a kind lady’s step one day, ragged and hungry, torn up from fighting, as many unneutered male cats are. He scarfed down a plate of food, purred and let her rub him then left again. He’s been coming back ever since.  Jingles has completely transformed thanks to the love and vet care that this good Samaritan provided for a creature in need.

Jingles is a very stocky, solid Tuxedo (black and white  markings) boy who loves to be in your lap getting hugs. He wraps his arms around your neck lovingly and even sometimes tries to sneak in a little affectionate earlobe nibbling! It’s very cute – and doesn’t hurt. It’s Mr. jingles’ special way of saying “I love you”. The nice lady who’s caring for him has many other rescues in her home and is at capacity, so she cannot take him in and adopt him. Every day that Jingles is out ont he road is a day he runs the risk of being killed by a car. This friendly, loving boy does NOT deserve that fate.

Thrown away by one-time owners, we suspect, this young cat just wants a warm, safe home to live in and a human to love forever. Is that you? Serious inquiries only. Interview and home visit part of the adoption process for Mr. Jingles.  Please e-mail kittycatkarma@yahoo.ca for details and be sure to write Mr. Jingles in the subject line.

Jingles, after being well fed and neutered by the kind lady who feeds him. He still needs a loving, permanent, indoor home. Every day Jingles is still on the street, he's at risk. Please help.
